About Me

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana who is passionate about helping people feel supported, understood, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, where my research focused on the experiences of African American women in the mental health field and the impact of racial microaggressions, work that continues to shape my commitment to culturally responsive care. I am also a Certified Grief Professional and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

In my practice, I work with individuals and couples facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, infidelity, betrayal, and life transitions. I help clients and couples heal from relational wounds, including healing attachment injuries and rebuilding secure connection. I’m trained in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I take a person-centered, collaborative approach. This means we work together to find what truly works for you. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, genuine space where you can show up as you are, while also being gently challenged to grow.

Beyond the therapy room, I’m involved in teaching, research, and leadership within the counseling field. At the heart of my work, I help people feel seen, heard, and supported as they move toward the life they want.
